RALEIGH (AP) -- Three teams are tied for first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Three more teams are tied for last place in the ACC. There's also a tie for fifth.
All those knots could be straightened out beginning tonight.
There are three games on the ACC calendar, beginning with Miami's game at Clemson. The Hurricanes are one of the three teams at 4-10, while the fading Tigers are at 5-9.
Maryland and Duke will bring 8-6 conference marks into the 9 p-m showdown in Durham. Wake Forest and North Carolina State, the other two teams with 4-10 conference records, also tip off at 9 p.m. Their game is in Raleigh.
Beginning this last week of the regular season, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Virginia at tied for first ay 10-4. Boston College is at 10-5.
