WILMINGTON -- The new PPD building is so tall the fire department can't reach the roof.
The Wilmington Fire Department says they do not have towers to reach the top of the building, but that no one else can reach it either.
Normal fire towers are 105 to 110 feet tall.
PPD has taken additional safety measures due to the size of their building. They have pressurized stairwells in case of an emergency.
