“For many years I have been interested in doing something that will bring our community together and help raise money for a special cause. This year I am planning a Wrightsville Beach ESA surf competition that will benefit the disease Cystic Fibrosis.”
- Hoggard High School Senior Winnie Barton

ESA will team up with Winnie Barton in fighting Cystic Fibrosis on April 19 with a surf contest. Winnie’s friend who surfs is the inspiration for this fundraiser! All the money donated will go directly to UNC research team who works directly with North Carolina children.

All surf shops have entry forms for this super event. Food, fun and prizes will make this a special day! Lots of prizes will be awarded to top surfers in each surf division. A skateboard signed by Tony Hawk will be raffled! The event will be held in Carolina Beach on April 19th at 8:00 am. If you are interested in donating items or becoming a sponsor, please contact Deb Barton 512-0792. The entries are due by Monday, April 14th. You can also download an application at wblivesurf.com.
