JACKSONVILLE -- Sen. Hillary Clinton pledged to end the war in Iraq and bring US troops home.

During her speech she pointed out how happy she was to be in Jacksonville and how excited she was to be in the race for presidency.

She asked the crowd to vote early and spoke about keeping faith with veterans while and after they do their military service.

"I am so happy that the campaign has come to North Carolina, and North Carolinians get to help pick the next president," Clinton said. "You know there were some folks who said, 'Well, no, let's just call it off. Let's call it off before Pennsylvania. Let's call it off before Indiana and North Carolina.' Well I kind of thought to myself, what better place to be in the springtime than North Carolina?"

The North Carolina primary is May 6.
