Delgado trial update

New Hanover County prosecutors interviewed their first witnesses today in the Tyrone Delgado trial.

Delgado is accused of murdering FBI secretary Melissa Mooney at her Castle Hayne home in 1999.

During today's testimony, a detective assigned to the case documented how Ms. Mooney spent the final hours of her life using her receipts and credit card transactions.

The trial is expected to take several weeks.
