Man leaves court before trial starts

READ MORE:
NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- Wilmington Police are looking for a man who left court before his trial began and never came back. Prosecutors say 23-year-old Shamel McCallum was in court Wednesday about to go to trial for armed robbery. They say he asked the judge for permission to go feed his parking meter. McCallum left but never came back. Police say McCallum robbed a convenience store on Greenfield Street in Wilmington last August. He is now wanted on the robbery charges as well as failure to appear.
