US Rep. Mike McIntyre (D-7th District) told NewsChannel 3 Friday night he will support presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama. McIntyre also said, "It's time for the party to unify."

McIntyre's announcement comes a day before Obama will get his biggest endorsement yet. Former foe Hillary Clinton says she'll give Obama her support when she speaks to supporters tomorrow. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) says Clinton and Obama met privately at her home Thursday night.

Obama and Republican rival John McCain are both taking the weekend off. Obama will then kick off a two-week campaign tour Monday in Raleigh.
