Camp Lejeune Marine killed in Iraq

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (AP) -- A Camp Lejeune Marine from Maine has died from combat wounds suffered while in Iraq.

The Defense Department says Private First Class Angel Rosa of South Portland, Maine, died Tuesday in Al Anbar province.

The 21-year-old was assigned to Third Battalion, Sixth Marine Regiment, Second Marine Division, Second Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.

The military says Rosa joined the Marine Corps in February of last year and was promoted to private first class in August.

His decorations include the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
