WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Candidates in the race for the White House are reaching voters through the popular social networking web site MySpace.
MySpace now features a political channel with the latest information about 2008's presidential hopefuls. The Impact Channel features links to ten candidates.
Site users can click on a photo to learn more about a candidate.
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton both used the internet for campaign announcements. The forum is an easy way for candidates to reach adults and students.
Cape Fear Community College student Reggie Wilson said, "I know people who the whole household has a MySpace: the mother, the father the kids. So that's a good way to reach the young people is MySpace."
The site will feature videos, blogs and the latest news about the candidates.
If you're familiar with MySpace you know you can request someone to be your friend. Right now Barack Obama has more than 68,000 friends through the site. Hillary Clinton has about 1,000.
