VOTE 2010: NRA endorses McIntyre

The National Rifle Association (NRA) has endorsed Congressman Mike McIntyre for re-election to the US House of Representatives and has awarded him an A rating for his “solid and consistent record in Congress” of preserving the rights of American gun owners.

“As a member of Congress, you have demonstrated a proven commitment to our Second Amendment rights by voting to curb bogus lawsuits against gun manufacturers and to prohibit guns confiscations during states of emergency,” NRA Director of Federal Affairs Charles H. Cunningham wrote in the endorsement letter.

The NRA also thanked Congressman McIntyre for his cosponsorship and support for legislation to force reform at the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Congressman McIntyre, a member of the Second Amendment Task Force, will attend the Real Wilmington Gun Show Saturday morning at the New Hanover County Law Enforcement Officers Associations on Holly Shelter Road in Castle Hayne.

NRA endorsement

This just shows what is wrong with our government. Mike hasn't done anything totally stupid when it comes to guns or gun rights, but his party has. NRA doesn't want to burn a bridge. I wonder if McIntyre owns or can even load and shoot a gun. Pantano can I've seen it. If the truth were known the NRA wants to see a Pantano win. So do I...

For the good of this area I

For the good of this area I hope you don't get your wish.

Yea he can shoot a gun. The ones he shot in Iraq never seen him shoot a gun because he shot them in the back.(I don't know if that is true,I said it to mess with Common). Are you saying the NRA is lying or stupid? Sounds to me that they don't want a Pantano win. That speaks volumes of what they think of ole Ilario.I wis you can explain how this shows what is wrong with our government.
