DURHAM -- Police have arrested a New York man and charged him with killing his father, a community leader in a North Carolina city.
Multiple media outlets reported Monday that 35-year-old Cheo Burroughs of Buffalo, N.Y., was arrested Sunday and held without bond in Durham County. He faces a Monday court appearance and could be appointed a lawyer.
Police have released few details of 64-year-old Bill Burroughs' death, whose body was found last weekend in a pool of blood at his home in Durham.
Burroughs was a retired teacher and had lived in New York.
