Obama: angered over comments by former pastor

READ MORE:
HICKORY, N.C. (AP) -- Barack Obama says he is outraged and angry over the latest comments from his former pastor. Obama told reporters today in North Carolina that he's also "saddened" by what he calls a "spectacle" that the Reverend Jeremiah Wright engaged in yesterday during an appearance at the National Press Club in Washington. He says Wright is offering conspiracy theories and other ideas that go against who Obama is and what he stands for. In three days of public appearances in the last four days, Wright has been combative, accusing his critics of attacking the black church, and bringing more attention to an issue that Obama had hoped was dying down. Obama had earlier defended Wright, while taking issue with some of his statements. But he now says, "The person I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago." And he says Wright's comments do not accurately portray the perspective of the black church. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)

It is no longer...

safe, politically, for Obama to associate himself with Reverend Wright. Obama, who claims to run counter to the current politics in Washington, is exposing himself to be just that...a politician who will do whatever it takes to get elected. For Obama, who just last month said Wright is his mentor and spiritual adviser, to now throw him "under the bus" speaks volumes of who Obama truly is. It's interesting that Obama speaks of "change" but when asked what change he will bring, his answer is "change". His "change" scares me and a whole lot of other people.

A posessed Preacher?

Wright should stop what he's doing. He's letting the devil use him. Why would he keep blasting off and being combative, accusing his critics of attacking the black church, and bringing more attention to an issue that Obama had hoped was dying down? Could it be he's intentionally trying to sabotage the would be voters against Obama? Thats what it looks like. Wright needs to be delivered from the bonds of satin.

The Reverend Jeremiah Wright

It looks to me like the Reverend Jeremiah Wright is more of an enemy to Obama. Maybe what Wright is doing is actually his way of turning potential voters for Obama towards Clinton? You know. That reverse psycology thing? Any way, this man is suppose to be a man of God right? Then how can he be so anti-people. It sounds to me like the preacher has some racial issues that need to be addressed. Step down until you get it right with God Jeremiah. God is not a God who hates any race of people. God is a God of love for all man kind. Even YOU!!! You need much prayer! Don't hate! You know you're wrong.

not really

i highly doubt he is angered over these comments. especially after he attended his church for years without saying or speaking out against it. there are also pictures of obama with his family and his muslim extremeist brother. obama seems to be accepting of 'different' ideas, but that may not be a good thing. just as 'change' may not be a good thing in america
