CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) -- An airport official says investigators are looking into the possibility that a Charlotte teenager whose mutilated body was found on a suburban Boston street may have fallen from a plane.
Delvonte Tisdale was found last week in Milton, Mass., several days after he was reported missing.
Logan International Airport spokesman Phil Orlandella said Tuesday investigators have requested flight path information and are looking into the "remote" possibility that the 16-year-old may have fallen from a plane's wheel well.
Tisdale was a member of the Air Force ROTC program at North Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte.
Police say the family thinks Tisdale may have run away.
The Norfolk (Mass.) district attorney's office refused in a statement to directly address the plane theory, but said the investigation "remains active and ongoing on multiple fronts."
