Ogden house fire suspicious

Fire destroyed an Ogden home this morning. The blaze broke out around 3:00 a.m. at a house on Foxfield Court. The heat from the flames melted the siding on neighboring homes. Fire fighters say the house that burned was vacant, and hasn't had electricity for months. Investigators are calling the fire "suspicious." Deputy Fire Marshall Tom Sesebee of the NHC Fire Department said, “Indicates to us that something is not right with the conditions that would have generated this fire.” Officials would not speculate as to what started the fire. The fire department has brought in the S.B.I. to help investigate.

I live 2 houses down from it

I live 2 houses down from it and was woke up by the fire department knocking on my door. If someone did start this fire, they need to be locked up for life. The nearby house could have all went on fire.

I was up at 3am spraying our roof for hours. It was sooo sooo hot.. Need to get them boys.. Paul E Campagna

The house was in

The house was in foreclosure....of course something isn't right. Let's just hope they can prove something set the fire

Even if

the fire is proven to have been intentionally started, as in arson, the insurance carrier will pay proceeds to the lender. Whether the property owner gets anything is doubtful. Normally you rebuild the house and either the Bank or the Property Owner will put up the deductible.
