OSHA investigates Leland Police Department

The State Occupational Safety and Health Administration has opened an investigation into the Leland Police Department.

The investigation opened last week.

Neither OSHA nor the Leland Police Department will comment on what they are looking into.

In an email, Leland Police Chief Tim Jayne told WWAY that the inspection was in response to a complaint.

He also added that the safety of his employees and the citizens of Leland are paramount to his organization.
