Panthers beat Falcons, Delhomme hurt

Story body

ATLANTA (AP) -- Carolina Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme is scheduled for X-rays today after hurting his elbow in the 27-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Delhomme says he doesn't think the injury yesterday was serious. But he says he thought he should be careful.

Backup David Carr came in and led the Panthers to 10 points to clinch the win.

Atlanta is still looking for their first win without Michael Vick. But quarterback Joey Harrington had his best day, being sacked only once, after being dropped 13 times in the first two games.
