PENDER COUNTY -- The Pender County Health Department received $300,000 to help provide dental care for preschool, elementary and middle school students throughout the county.

Half of that grant money will come from the Cape Fear Memorial Foundation to fund a three-station modular dentist unit, which is slated to open in February.

That's in addition to $150,000 given by the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust of Winston-Salem.
