Governor Bev Perdue plans to cheer on the University of North Carolina men's basketball team in person Monday night. The governor bought tickets from UNC for the NCAA championship game against Michigan State. Perdue will fly to Detroit on a private jet and will not spend state money for her travel or tickets. She also made a wager on the game with Michigan's governor. The loser must wear the winning team's jersey and hat while eating food from the winning state and donate $100 to a food bank to the other state.

Gov. Perdue Jetting to UNC game

Rather than just reporting Gov Perdue's use of a jet to fly to the UNC game, it should be investigated who supplied the jet for her. Isn't this considered a contribution? Is it being done to influence her to support some agenda backed by those who supplied the jet? Inquiring minds want to know.

Perhaps

Coach Williams could be persuaded to throw the Game if she is taken to the Michigan State campus for another out of state working vacation. But, they would have to keep her.

Shouldn't she devulge

Shouldn't she devulge where the money is coming from? Probably end up costing us more than it would have if we paid for it out of tax money.

How will her going to the

How will her going to the UNC game on her own dime end up costing us more money than if the state had paid for it? Many governors, like Mike Easley (or even his wife), would have gone to the game, had the state pay for it, and called it a goodwill trip representing the state. She did the right thing, went to a basketball game, did not use state funds, and yet still you complain?
