Pleasure Island Beach Music Festival rocks on

Carolina Beach goers were treated to the sweet sounds of summer Saturday for the annual Pleasure Island Beach Music Festival. Five bands, from all over the South, got the crowd moving and shaking to hits from yesterday and today. WWAY's chief meteorologist Chris Philips was there to kick things off. The bands say they were excited to be a part of the festival. “We’ve got a great crowd out here today. There's a lot of top-notch entertainment. Carolina beach music is just a good time, it's a fun time, everybody has a ball,” said Mike Neese of Holiday Band. The Pleasure Island Beach Music Festival is one of the longest running beach music festivals in the United States.

compliments to the saff

I just want to let all the staff involved with putting on the festival that The Holiday Band was very impressed with your efforts. Everything went smoothly and the patrons seemed to have a great time. Good luck next year with the 25th annual! Mike Taylor THB
