GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich was in town today. Do you think he should stay in the race?

With Newt all the way to Tampa

Our families deserve more than rhetoric & talking points. America needs Newt in 2012! VOTE 4 Newt the REAL Reagan Conservative.

GOP? HA..vote CONSERVATIVE

Newt is the only one that has been fighting for conservatism since the days of Ronald Reagan. Rick and Mitt don't even compare.
Newt stays in all the way to Tampa.
Santorum won't even win his homestate of PA thus his candidacy has NO BASIS.Romne is a RINO.
North Carolina will go for NEWT GINGRICH!!!
See y'all in Tampa!!!

“The 2012 election

“The 2012 election represents one of the most important events in the history of this country. I believe Newt Gingrich is the only candidate who can defeat Barack Obama in the fall, and provide solutions to some of the country’s biggest problems..." - Senator Simpson on his endorsement of NEWT Gingrich today in Delaware

Newt is the only candidate

Newt is the only candidate that can defeat Obama decisively in November and do the hard work to solve America's very large problems. We want $2.50 or less/gallon gas, NO OBAMNEYCARE, balanced budget, cut the debt, National Security, religious freedom, right to work... could go on and on....Newt HAS the plans to get it all done! Go NEWT 2012!

Newter

I hope all of you republicans got newtered yesterday. I think he is an excellent choice to run for the presidency.

Should Newt stay in?

Absolutely. IF the Convention is brokered, he stands a decent chance of becoming the nominee. IF it is no brokered, the longer he stays in, more and more of his common sense and workable plans will be "adopted" by the frontrunners who are tryying to garner the votes of his hard core supporters. He has the best Solutions page of any of the candidates, you can see it at Newt.org. They have already "adopted" many of his plans, and will do so with more of them, choice in SS and medicare, the return of states rights to the states, reduction or elimination of several gov agencies, repealin Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley, reducing or eliminating cap gains, repealing Obamacare, Drill here, Drill now, ect. All anyone has to do is compare 'l of their original plans, and they will see, the other candidates have adopted Newts plans, but Newt was and is the originator of them, and HIS plans have remained consistent, unchanged from the start. He is the First and Best when it comes to plans and platform...no real need to look elsewhere. Newt 2012!!!!

To Donald

Typical ignorant statement - doesn't matter who it is, you'll vote for WHOMEVER is the Republican candidate??? Typical sheep behavior.

Newt - the only one

There is no question Newt should stay in. Why? First of all, not all states' voters have had a chance to cast their ballots - why should they be deprived of their right to vote for who they want to see go up against Obama? Second, A majority of GOP voters do NOT want Mitt Romney as the candidate, and see him as too weak to challenge Obama; with Newt still in, there is a chance we could have an open convention where we do, actually, get a nominee who can get the job done. At this point it's not about winning but about ensuring that we have the best possible candidate to take back the WH, and Mitt is not it.

The media (acting on behalf of the Obama campaign) and the GOP (acting out of weakness and stupidity) have turned people from the one man who can beat Obama, the one man who an rally Americans by his deep and profound love for this country. TO cave to the demands that he step down would be irresponsible, and would be doing exactly what the Dems want you to do.
Newt: We need your strong voice.

What if Romney has a Macaca

What if Romney has a Macaca moment? Mainstream media has largely left Romney unvetted. I would very much like to see Gingrich challenge Romney on a second ballot in Tampa. An open convention would be electrifying television. It would be guaranteed to suck the oxygen out of Obama's reelection message. Selecting our nominee at the convention leaves of Obama very little time to play dirty tricks. Nominating Gingrich at the convention would electrify the conservative base that has been beaten down over the course of the last year by failing flavors of the month. Conservatives cannot let the GOP remain a party of next in line.

anything is better than the white Obama aka Romney

Romney is a superfluous Obama

why would we need THAT? Politics is like a romance - if it FAILS once - what makes it right the next time?

He lost to McCain who lost to Obama ... why choose a LOSER?

Yes, whether or not he wins any more states

Newt should stay in the race all the way to the convention whether or not he wins anymore states. He can have a very positive impact on the outcome of the convention and the Republican plank.

Poll

Who says that if he was to drop out that it would help the party come together? This poll is leading. He can stay in as long as he wants and I encourage him to do so. He is a very smart man who actually has a plan to fix the mess we are in!

Who is the REAL Conservative?

Drop out and help the "party" come together???! You do realize that the "party" is not the party anymore, and the only TRUE conservative is Newt Gingrich! LOOK at the voting records and track records of each of them! Romney is Obama Jr. (If you think Obamacare is bad, how about Rombomneycare Mandated over the next 4 years?! :() Santorum is NOT who he says he is, and has NO grasp on what is vital to our country's recovery! I PRAY that America wakes up, does their own research, refuses to settle for the status-quo, and gets behind the ONLY candidate who has a PLAN, and can & WILL pull America out of the hole we are in! God Bless Newt & his family ALL the way to Tampa!!! Newt= $2.50 Gas Obama= Algae!

I believe that it matters a

I believe that it matters a great deal! The right man can beat Obama. The right man is Newt Gingrich!

Conservatives Refuse to vote Party Line Again!

It's already been decided. This will go to convention. The media has been trying to erase Newt from the running, but they can't stop us from funding him. He's in to stay. Romney CAN'T get 1144 UNLESS Newt drops out. That is why they are pushing it so hard.

The GOP needs to believe the conservative millions who have sworn not to vote for Romney. We told them last time that McCain was the last establishment RINO we would ever vote for, and we meant it. They will be the cause of Obama winning again if they don't yank back that leash and let American citizens make the choice, instead of buying the nomination for Romney.

Newt stays

There are a lot of things between now and June that can happen to the "inevitable nominee" that can put Romney down, just as fast as Newt was blasted out of contention multiple times. With only 50% of the MEDIA apportioned delegates (not RNC official counts) to date, Romney still has to win delegates for the rest of the race at about the same percentage he has to date. Romney taking his case to Obama, and ignoring the potential impact of the primaries, could backfire on him. He is not "safe, sliding into home plate" yet. His whole campaign can come down like a stick house in a tornado between now and then.

Although the 1920 RNC Rules apparently didn't have the "5 state plurality rule" to get on the ballot, Warren Harding had 6.5% and less of the delegate votes in the first to fifth ballots---and ended up winning on the 10th ballot with 70% of the delegate vote. Newt can easily get on the ballot, even if he only ends up with the two existing primary wins, despite the 5-state rule. Mississippi, for example, as one state where Newt was a near 1st place, can easily change to a Newt plurality on the first ballot, with some horsetrading with only a couple delegates. Newt's campaign has already said they are talking to delegates.

A lot can change in the next 2 months; especially with other southern states, such as NC; and with states like Texas, in May. Although I have read that Newt's strategy is to concentrate on states that have little cost, I do hope that he doesn't ignore some heavy campaigning in Texas and that Rick Perry stays in his corner.

Newt Gingerich

Newt Gingerich is the Real Deal!! He walks the walk & talks the talk!! He knows what needs to be done to fix things, & if given the chance, will! He may not be high on charisma, but he is high on what the USA needs to recover!!!

newt Gingerich

I would vote for Newt Gingerich without hesitation! He is the real deal!!! Walks the walk!, talks the talk!!!

romney is as usual cheating,

romney is as usual cheating, and so are the democrats and the media. I know why. They want the new world order. But the people are privy to it ALL. So convention time is comin soon.

Newt Gingrich

What a bright man. He isn't funny and entertaining like Herman, but serious about America. Wake up Americans and put a man in there who can get things done and can outsmart those Establishment croneys.

Should Newt Gingrich Stay in the Race

Newt Gingrich should definitely stay in the race. He is brilliant man, a former History Professor, and a man that can get things done in Wahinging, DC. He is a strong, good man and a true Reagan conservative, and a Patriot, for sure. If Romney wins the nomination, I will vote for him. But the best candidate of all and the one that would really get the needed things done to restore our country to what our Forefathers wanted our country to be is Newt Gingrich. The only reason I would ever vote for Romney or Santorum is to get Obama out of office, which is an absolute necessity if we wnat to save the U.S.A. Neither Romney and Santorum will do job in the restoration of our country. Newt Mentions a lot more things he would accompilish in restoring the U.S.A than any of the other candidates. Romney and Santorum will leave a lot of things untouched that need to be done. Newt Gincrich is very humerous sometimes also.

vote

OK. Folks. The alarm clock is going off. It is time to wake up. Both the GOP and the Democrat party have been taken over by communists who want to control you life. There is essentially no difference between Obama and Romney, between Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid, between Paul Ryan and Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Their goals are the same they just have a different way of getting there. When are you going to stop listening to them and take your country back?

newt staying in the race vote

It does not matter we are all going to vote for the republican nominee
anyway no matter who it is.

Newt will not get the votes

Newt will not get the votes from the moderates, independents, or women needed to take the White House. Only Romney has enough support from those groups. And the rest of the Right will fall in line with whoever becomes the GOP nominee. At this point, Gingrich, Paul, and Santorum are just making the Republicans have a more expensive, nasty, drawn-out primary season, leaving them with less resources to use against Obama this fall.

no ... no we're not.

no ... no we're not.

Yep

Amen!!
