How do you feel about Chick-Fil-A in the wake of its president's comments about gay marriage?

Chick-fil-A

It was so uplifting to be at Chick-fil-A tonight! It was packed with people, many of whom had to park far away because it was so crowdwd :-), Grandparents, Moms and Dads, and lots of kids...everyone there was so friendly and kind, this is the real America-and it's worth fighting for.

Buy a chicken sandwich for god lol

the only one winning is is the chicken man!

I would think it is blasphemy to relate chicken and god.

creative ad or religion?

Chic Fil a

My God is the God of the new commandment;
" I give you a new commanment, that you love one another as I have loved you.Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this you will know that you are my disciple"
But it is really not about the chicken!

GO CHICK-FIL-LA

When it comes to certain groups we have to endure and listen to their rants, however if someone comes along and disagrees with your beliefs we jump out there and rant about how bad they are. No one is forced to eat at this place....just like no student is forced to eat there on campus. HAVE WE FORGOTTEN SOME STUDENTS ON CAMPUS LIKE THE FOOD AND SOME RESIDENTS OF WILMINGTON WANT TO GO HERE TO EAT!!!!!Why do we allow a small group to cry and try to force their agenda on me and others....grow up and get on with life you are wasting way to much time crying!!! TODAY THE PEOPLE OF WILMINGTON SHOWED THAT THEY SUPPORT THIS CHAIN NEED I SAY MORE!

chick fil a

I believe we still have freedom of speech and can express our personal beliefs when asked. Chick Fil A does not and cannot discriminate in their hiring practices or in who they serve. I think it is unfair to target a business based on the personal beliefs of the owner. Must we go to the ridiculous act of "checking" out companies to see if they agree with our views before shopping with them?

Idiot

Try not to discuss what you don't know about...they can fully discriminate on who they serve and who they hire when it comes to sexuality...it's not a protected class. Now I fully support their right to say whatever they want...idiotic and bigoted as it may be, i also support the right of anyone to protest a company that supports bigotry. Just sayin...

Chic Fil A

I currently have four children employed by Chic-Fil-A. This organization has stood by its Christian values since the first day it opened its doors. I fully support them and Truitt Cathay for not wavering on their beliefs. As an American citizen, Mr. Cathay has the "right" to express himself just as those offended by his comments have the right NOT to support this establishment. As for me and my household, we fully support Chic-Fil-A, Truitt Cathay, and the individual owners. Thank you for the positive impact you have had on my family.

I totally agree with what

I totally agree with what Mr. Cathy said, but he didn't say anything against homosexuals. I am a frequent customer at Chick-Fil-A, and we don't have one here in town, but my family and I are making a special trip there today to support Mr. Cathy and his first amendment right to freedom of speech.

I believe that every

I believe that every American is endowed by our Constitution to have the freedom to speak his or her mind. The more Americans who stand up for what they believe is right the better off this country will be. We do not force others to believe as we do, but we do have the right to our express ourselves.

Hatred isn't very Christian

Homosexuality is not going away. It is not a lifestyle "choice" and if you believe that, you are truly ignorant. Jesus was accepting and loving, why can't Christians be?

The bible doesn't define marriage, but here are a few suggestions:

Genesis 16:1-4
Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai ... gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived.
1 Kings 11:2-3
Solomon ... had seven hundred wives ... and three hundred concubines.
Genesis 4:19
And Lamech took unto him two wives.

Not very modern guidance...

marriage is between woman and man

I am a firm believer the Bible is very clear Man should not lay with man nor should woman lay with women. I know some gay folks and I respect them as people but if this is how God made them so be it. Why make a public announcment about it. Refer to what God wrote about homosexuality. He gives us all instructions how to live and conduct our lives.

The problem is

there is no such thing as god. Just because you have such a low opinion of yourself you need some sky fairy to believe in, don't push your beliefs on others. YOu can praise your god all you want (despite every depiction of him being a total jerk), but I draw the line when you want your beliefs to affect how i live...

Huh?

You're just being a poor loser, so you're spouting hatred and bitterness. Oh, wait. Isn't that what you accuse Christians of doing? Imagine that!

Loving it

When people are not afraid to say the "right" thing.
Kudos to Chick-Fil-A for taking a position!

You thank them for saying the "right" thing...

but those of us who are speaking out against the taxpayer-funded baseball stadium, you villify.

Chic-Fil-A

No matter what side of the issue of marriage you support, it should concern you that this man is being publicly ostrasized for exercising his Freedom of Speech. If you are offended by a tv show, you just don't watch it. If a movie is against your moral beliefs, you don't go and support it. If you disagree with what the Chic-Fil-A president says, don't eat there. Why persecute him?

Get Over It!!

People look for any reason to act a fool. Whether or not they eat at Chick Fil-A will not change the laws that are in place. People need to stop being so dramatic and realize that he's entitled to his own opinion and should be able to voice it at his own discretion without all this ridiculousness.
