Of all the candidates running Napier Fuller is the best qualified for the job. He has specialized training in urban development and a solid understanding of the issues that impact Wilmington. His skills in business development and fresh ideas would bring a new perspective to the Council. He has recognized ways to improve Wilmington's infrastructure and improve our economic development in a fiscally conservative manner. People that say he is a McColl puppet have no idea what they are talking about. We don't need more of the same - we need Napier Fuller!

These three will make the best choices- if we judge them by what they do not just what they say--they stand head and shoulders above the McColl crowd that smears and seeks to destroy anyone they fear. You see if you want things done in the open , if you dont want deals that enrich the special interests here in town, and if heaven to be you are against using public monies to help your buddies fund an arts council and a baseball team then you unlawfully leak info from confidential records and set up websites to smear people who will protect the public.
There days are limited- vote for these three and it's a start on reining in Saffo and McColl.

I have personally known Matt Hinson and I must say he is probably not the best choice for City Council. He is very rigid and closed minded and does not see the big picture (Extremely Right Winged Conservative Views and I usually vote Republican). Mr Hinson is also not easily approachable. He gives off a vibe of arrogance that you are beneath him. Also if you are against his view he gets highly agitated at you and goes on the extreme attack. Please do yourself a favor and pick someone else this election day. Plenty of other excellent candidates out there.

If you "personally know" Matthew Hinson, then you know he is nothing like you describe. I first met him through the WPD when he became the one in charge of our District for our neighborhood and he was nothing but polite, open, concerned, very approachable to everyone he encountered! There is nothing arrogant, rigid or unapproachable about him and he will be a huge asset for our city as a member of the City Council.

After hearing the candidates at a couple of the forums, Meares and Hinson would be my top picks. They don't seem to be getting as much exposure as the others, but I really like what they stand for. We all need to make sure to look up and get to know all the candidates instead of just familiar names. It's time for new faces on the council.

How is it slander to post his own videos and his own photos and his own writing? I find it interesting that a candidate who claims he is for "Transparency", has a private blog that is open only to invited readers. I find it interesting that he pulled his videos from youtube as soon as the site linking to his own videos and photos and writing went public. Do a google search on all of the candidates. Find out the truth. Don't settle for the lies that Josh has on his campaign website.

I believe the transparency he is referring to is a transparency in politics. Let's take your charge to its logical and absurd conclusion - transparency in all things. Should there be a camera in his bathroom with a 24 hour live feed? Should he send a mass email notifying if and when he is planning a romantic dinner for someone? Should his ruminations of literature be accessible to everyone?
The blog, for all you know, is a digital diary of his hopes and fears or a dream journal. Maybe he's just a person like you or me or anyone that doesn't want people with nefarious intentions knowing things about him that have nothing to do with how he politics (verb).

A Candidate that I also feel would be good for Wilmington is Matt Hinson. He is a former Wilmington Police Officer who did a tremendous amount of work in the neighborhood where I live. Now Retired LT. Matt Hinson immediately took a true interest in helping us clean up the crime by taking a common sense approach of not only working with the neighbors but getting the landlords involved as well. He did not hide behind a desk and spent many hours of his time off answering calls, attending meetings with the neighbors, following up with complaints and was diligent with making sure that every person was heard. If you do not know Matt Hinson, please take a moment to get to know him...you will be glad you did!

Whe we dont have postings by McColl and her puppets we have Fuller attacking others. Same crowd that has given us Jason Thompson and Bill Caster---higher taxes, arrogance and garbage politics. I'd rather have folks who may not be perfect than the crowd of thugs who have controlled this city for too long. McColl may be an expert on nasty campaigns and Fuller may really be a Democrat trying to pass himself off as a Republican- but we can do without this crowd on election day. I'm voting for Fulton, Hinson and Mears.

Frankly Boba(or is it Bubba or Louise)- you have it wrong. I suspect Josh will make mistakes and we all know Brian has. But, Brian has delivered and Josh will deliver on their votes to support the public interest and not their own. We will have transparency and not secrecy and we will have monies spent for the public benefit and not for Saffo or McColls buddies. What we won't get from Fuller or Berger- are having their buddies set up bogus websites that smear others or steal a public officals notes and leak unlawfully confidential HR information to a local newspaper. This may not disturb David- but he isnt the only prosecuter in the State or Elsewhere.

That website is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Why do people waste time trying to put other people down? They should be thinking about the positive things that will come out of his hard work and dedication that he can offer the city of Wilmington. He is a great candidate to give Wilmington the opportunity to get out of the slum pit it is in. People need to focus on the ideas of what he plans on changing, instead of irrelevant nonsense.

In the neighborhood where I live, crime was getting out of control. When LT. Matt Hinson took over, he had a hands on approach. In the two years he was our Lt. he helped to clean our neighborhood up from the drugs and prostitutes. He even came out here on his time off to respond to complaints, questions, and even to make arrests. You will not see any campaign signs for him either as he is not polluting our city with them. He probably, and most likely would take of things in this town that are neglected. Spend the money where it needs to be spent! Go Ricky!
