A judge sentenced Thomas Grooms to 24-30 years in prison for killing David and Trey Doolittle. Do you think that's fair?

Death (x2) would have been

Death (x2) would have been fair. Impossible to pay, but more agreeable. He took the innocent lives of 2 people...Period. Serving time doesn't fix that. David and Trey each had more than 24-30 years left to live! Our actions and choices have consequences, but what we don't have are adequate deterrents for our crimes! He did not accidentally take their lives! He drove while under the influence, no one made him!

I believe if you are going

I believe if you are going to poll and audience then all sides must be a possible vote. Why is there not a "No, he deserved a lesser charge" button for vote. A news corporation is suppose to be non biased. This just proved to a lot of people that your staff has already proven themselves discreditable. I'm shocked such a poll was published on your site. You should make a change here.

This sentence was not too

This sentence was not too harsh. He was driving while impaired by substances he chose to use. As a result two people are dead. The punishment fits the crime.

As for those of you who think that only God can judge, you need to read your Bibles a little more. God gave man the right to judge murderers and punish them.

I think it was to harsh

I think it was to harsh myself. Accidents happen all the time. Bikes shouldn't be ridden on roads where the speed limit is 55 period. Impaired or not that is just a dangerous situation. Even if bikers can go 20 mph... it is like some standing still and getting hit at 35 mph by a car.

Bikers should stay in the bike lane and never be allowed on roads where cars go 55.
