More airlines are starting to charge extra for particular seats on a flight. How will that affect your travel plans?

The last few flights I've made have been miserable. Uncomfortable seats, no food available on planes, overcrowding due to fewer flights,being switched all over the airports as gates were changed unannounced (on American). Surprise fees I was not told about when purchasing tickets, people on the phone that don't speak or understand intellgible English--old, outdated planes they sometimes fly into NC-- the list goes on and on. I'm sick of it! I only fly now when I go to visit my daughter and her family in California.
