What do you think of the NTSB's recommendation that states ban cell phone use while driving?

Cell phones

Once driving while on a cell phone is outlawed, only outlaws will be driving while on a cell phone. Apparently; 65% of the people responding to this poll are aware that they are not capable of talking and driving (think walking and chewing gum) and that the Goverment is much more capable of making good decisions than they are.

Cell use/Driving

I love to hear people disagreeing with "GOV'T intervention" like cell phone use while driving! In this case, especially in Wilmington,NC, we already have aweful drivers, worst case of "no Insurance" and "Driving w/o a license" or "driving while impaired", I think they should imprison you atleast 30 days in jail, for holding a cell phone to your head while driving in New Hanover, county, NC!

What's next?

They won't stop until they control every aspect of your life. No, you shouldn't text and drive. It's common sense! If you do it and it causes an accident, YOU are at fault. What's next? Ban cheeseburgers! They are the cause of heart attacks! Ban football! It causes injuries! The nanny state is what we are going to end up with if people so willingly surrender freedom.

Cell Phone Use in a Vehicle

It's absurd people have to be on the phone while driving. In the 60's,70,s and 80,s we did not have to be conversing with someone 24-7. If you had a problem you pulled off the road ,found a pay phone and addressed the problem. Now a days it is just idle chatter. This does not help concentrating on driving a vehicle.Thereby putting a lot of people in harms way.

Letters

I am an "old Fart." I actually like the net. Never mind! The best way to tell someone you love them is to write it out by hand, put it in an envelope, Put a stamp on it and mail it. The post office needs your money.

I need my money more than

I need my money more than the post office does. I don't drive much and I probably text even less. Never had a text that couldn't wait to be read or sent.
