NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- Project developers will have to comply with a new review process thanks to the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners.
A unanimous vote by the board determined that developers must meet with neighbors as part of their planning review process. That includes all planned developments, riverfront mixed-use developments and conditional use zoning areas.
County Planning Director Chris O'Keefe says the new process will help give residents a sense of expectation before developers move ahead with their respective projects.
