Wave Transit is considering raising its bus fares.

Transit company officials cite rising fuel costs as the reason for the hike.

Wave wants to raise its daily fare from $1.00 to a $1.50. A month-long pass that currently costs $40, would go up to $60.

Riders are asked to weigh in on the proposed fare hike.

Wave is holding a public hearing tonight at 6:00, at its offices on Castle Street in Wilmington.

A final hearing and decision is scheduled for September 11 at 10:30 a.m.

yeah right,Wave.the price

yeah right,Wave.the price rising because you lost riders with this new change. In a way the change was good but then it has it flaws. My advice put the bus routes back like they were and watch your money rise.Stop trying to hurt the ones who still use your service bad enough you made it hard for some of the senior citizens that once rode with you.Leave the fare alone and get the bus system back like it's been for years.Thank you................

LOL
