The Reach the Beach Project wrapped up today in Wilmington. The summer youth program brought teens from across the country to work on service projects in our area. We caught up with the group working on a house off of Nun Street. They painted the home inside and out. The program primarily repairs homes for the disabled, elderly and the less fortunate. Theodore Riddick whose home was painted said, "Without this I wouldn't have been able to have all this done. They invited me for a party tonight and I'm going to speak with the director and see what I can do to help them." The group invited all the people they have helped this week to a party at Ashley High School. They plan to head out of town tomorrow.
