You may have noticed a spike in gas prices over the last twenty-four hours.
Some gas stations in our area are now charging more than a $1.70 per gallon. That is a jump of anywhere from nine to fifteen cents a gallon, depending on the gas station.
A spokesperson for AAA said the spike is due to problems in the Middle East, and that OPEC cut oil production last month by about two million barrels a day.
Despite this, the spokesperson added that we shouldn't see any major jumps in prices anytime soon.
