For the past thirty years, the budget for the festival held the first week every October, has grown from $5,000 to $80,000. More than 300 volunteers make Riverfest possible. Riverfest features 160 craft vendors, concessions, fireworks, and exhibits. The river event takes place along the downtown Riverwalk. The economic impact of the festival has been estimated at more than $3,000,000, with 250,000 people taking part each year.
