Long years of service paid off for one teacher Thursday night. Roland-Grise Middle School held a formal dedication ceremony to name their gymnasium in honor of Calvin Wadsworth. Wadsworth was a coach and educator for 32 years in New Hanover County schools. He was a fixture at Roland-Grise. Cranston Andrews, the head custodian and Roland-Grise, said, “It tells you how dedicated a coach Wads was. The kids loved him.” The gym will now bear Calvin Wadsworth's name long into the future; a nice way for a coach to be remembered.
