Saffo won't seek Senate

Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo says he will not run for Julia Boseman's State Senate seat. Saffo said it was a tough decision.He told WWAY Monday evening that in the end he decided he had a commitment to the voters who elected him mayor. Saffo also said there were several projects he wants to see completed, including work from the 2006 Parks Bond.

hes an awful mayor what makes him think we would want another useless person in raleigh I wish he would just leave wilmington and take his bowling pins with him, leave the memoroial.I always want to go bowling when i go down third street.

I was praying he would run and lose so he would be completely out of office. Now we are stuck with him.
