SC woman charged with false police report in NC

READ MORE:
ASHEVILLE -- A South Carolina woman has been charged with filing a false police report claiming she was abducted at gunpoint in North Carolina. The Asheville Citizen-Times reported that a woman told Henderson County authorities she had been taken from Hendersonville and was left in her vehicle on U.S. Highway 25 in Greenville County, S.C. Dispatchers received at least three 911 calls about a woman who appeared to be tied up hanging out of a parked vehicle. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Greenville County Sheriff's Office found 23-year-old Cari Elizabeth Hernandez of Greenville County in the backseat with ropes around her legs. Authorities say Hernandez was confronted about inaccuracies in her story and was charged Thursday with making a false police report. It was unclear if Hernandez had an attorney.
