video It looks like right now, the NFL lockout may be over. A federal judge ordered an end to the lockout today, claiming it was causing irreversible harm to players' careers. But, the lockout might not be lifted for long. The NFL has said they plan to appeal the order.

"Piranhas" in Wilmington!

Dimension Films announced today that principal photography has begun in Wilmington, N.C., on Piranha 3DD (yes, that's the real title) and that audiences should know that "there's something in the water . . . again."

Two "little old ladies" from OIB busted for trafficking opium

video On Monday, April 25th, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two subjects from an Ocean Isle Beach residence. As a result of this investigation, agents seized $215.00 and various medications including hydrocodone and alprazolam tablets.

ONLY ON 3: Tabor City Cop who forgot about Frog interview has own legal issues

The Tabor City Police Detective who discovered an interview with Allen "Frog" Strickland Sunday night and caused the mistrial today has legal issues of his own. Det. Greg Sibbett is on administrative leave from the Tabor City Police Department. He's charged with assault by pointing a gun and two counts of illegally arresting two men.

ONLY ON 3: WWAY video shows insurance agent at Frog's house day after fire

The district attorney's office subpoenaed video from us today they claim shows an insurance agent at Allen "Frog" Strickland's house the day after it caught on fire. Strickland was charged with burning his own house down in order to collect insurance money. Former senator R.C. Soles bought him the house. Strickland's attorney last week claimed Frog never knew he had insurance on his house.

Four-year-old girl attacked by pit bull; Airlifted to hospital

A four-year-old Pender County girl was attacked by a pit bull according to the sheriff's department. She was taken by helicopter to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. No word on her condition as of 3:00 p.m.

Brunswick Co. Sheriff's Detective charged with molesting a child; Fired by department

On April 24, 2011 at approximately 7:00pm, former Detective Sergeant Henry Thomas Cole was arrested by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and charged with Indecent Liberties with a Minor. After a first appearance, he remains in custody under a $25,000 secured bond.
