CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- A little scare for a family visiting Carolina Beach last week.
A YouTube video dated Sept. 14 shows some children with their boogie boards in shallow water. Right after they get in, one of the kids notices a shark swim by just a few feet away, which sent her running for shore.
A post to the blog Carolina Beach Today from a woman who says she's the mom in the video says the family was a little scared to go to the beach the next day.
Sharks
You can tell that this isn't a hoax or spam, just a video to show and warn what a little shark can do or where it can be. What if you were the one out there, in knee deep water with a 5 ft long shark? You'd either feel amazed or shocked, not stupid. I have read comments where people think that sharks are stingrays, but there's no way that was a stingray. I've been in 20 ft deep water with a 6 ft long reef shark. Trust me, it's not very pleasant. Enough with the stupid comments, jerks.

You know very well that sharks do not have a holiday or a certain season to be found. For Pete's sake, sharks are very likely to be found in the middle of December!

There's no way that could have been a dolphin, when you pause it the second time you see it in the water near the end of the video, you can see the dorsal and tail fins. Definitely a shark.
