Skateboarders trek from Greensboro to Wilmington

It is Destination: Beach for some skateboarders from Greensboro. A group of teens, part of a youth group out of Greensboro, decided to skateboard all the way from Greensboro to the beach in Wilmington.

The teens will complete more than 200 miles, in an effort to raise money for their annual mission trips.

Today was day three. They said the first day was the hardest because it was all up hill. "The second and third day were pretty smooth, not too hot, today has been actually pretty smooth,” said James Wheeler. “We've had a lot more traffic today, and the heat has been a lot more intense."

The teens received pledges from sponsors based on the number of miles they skated.
