Some parents lucked out with the new middle school redistricting

The New Hanover County School board finalized the redistricting maps more than three months ago.

Despite many meetings and many tweaks, the new district lines are not making everyone happy.

Some parents we talked with have opted to send their kids to private school, or even put their house up for sale.

While MaryJane Inlow doesn't have to move her kid to a new school, she says there will be some new faces.

She also says the redistricting process was a roller-coaster ride.

"The middle schooler was scheduled to stay at Williston and then one of the plans took her out of Williston and then they looked at the plan and put her back in there and it worked out all in all," says Inlow.
