The South Brunswick Cougars defeated Midway 26-3 on the opening night of the season. Offensive lineman Terrell Stanley helped pave the way for the Cougar running backs. He contributed 8 tackles on defense as well. As a results Terrell is the Cape Fear Fair & Expo Player of the Week. In accepting the award Terrell said: "I didn't think I played that good. I think I could have played better to help the team, but we came out with a victory. Our coaches got us in all the right places in all the right times. We just made the plays to win the game." Roman Kelley is the South Brunswick head coach. It's his first year in charge of the Cougars and he's quick to praise his two-way starter. "Terrell is one of my favorites. He's the heart and soul of this team. He's a competitor mostly, and he's just a junior. He likes to win at all costs and he takes that attitude to the football field and that helps us out a lot." The Cape Fear Fair & Expo will be held October 29th through November 7th at the Wilmington International Airport. For more information check out www.capefearfair.com
