Spending Revolt Bus rolls into Port City

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Mad about the government wasting money, the Spending Revolt Bus rolled into Wilmington today. The bus is on its way to Washington, DC, but today it made stops in five North Carolina cities.

The group supporting the bus's message says it is touring the country to let state and the federal government know that they will not put up with the misspending of taxpayer dollars.

"What we're seeing now is that people are willing to say, 'Listen. We have got to have less government even if it negatively impacts me personally, because I cannot leave this mountain of debt to my grandchildren and my great grandchildren,'" said Dallas Woodhouse, Americans for Prosperity state director.

The bus heads to Virginia tomorrow. It will stop in five different cities.
