Spending summer vacation in an RV
rv300.jpg
It is a vacation with a twist. Instead of spending top dollar for a four-star hotel, many are turning to four wheels. Hundreds of people in Carolina Beach have been spending their summer vacation in an RV. Winter RV Park in Carolina Beach is bumper to bumper. Many say it is the cheapest way to enjoy vacation while staying on a budget. You can take all the luxuries of home with you, and pack up and go. RV enthusiast, James Stephenson said, "You can't get a hotel on the beach for less than one hundred a night and as often as we like to get together, it just makes economical sense to get an RV." Often, a week-long stay in a beach front hotel can equal the cost of month long space at the RV park.

Never has my family had more fun than going camping in our RV. It's horrible we can walk out and go fishing, hiking, boating, swimming,go on the playground, play games, enjoy nature, cook out, ride golf carts. The list goes on and on. I can't belive YUCK has been deprived from the fun of camping. At least I know who has been on my toilet and my sheets are clean. I hope one day YUCK can enjoy the fun that my family and I have had spending close time together in our Wonderful tin can. We wouldn't trade it for any high price hotel ever.
I'd rather have my teeth pulled out with pliers and sleep in a bed of cobras than go on vacation in one of this tin cans! I've never understood why people enjoy them
Pardon me!!! Do you have any Grey Poupon!!!. RV'ing and camping are great ways to spend quality time with your family. We must not all have the deep pockets that you must have. I bought a little pop-up last year and we love it. No, it is not the Ritz Carlton, but it is good family fun. Most of the camp grounds are fun filled and geared for family fun. What is the air like up there, with your nose so high up??
Wow ... pull teeth and cobras?? Tin cans?? Just in case you haven't noticed, not all RVs are like the ones that the movies make fun of or depict in a negative manner. You should take a tour of a few Prevost or Newmar motorhomes that cost upwards of $600,000 before you call all RVs tin cans! Not to mention if you don't like your neighbors in their little, stick built $400,000 house, you can unplug and move to a more suitable location! I'll take my tin can any day!!
I get along with my neighbors in their million plus homes. Thankfully I don't live there full time though :)
First of all who or what was going on in that hotel bed before you checked in. Check out time at 11:00 , check in at 2:00, no where to park, ...what is that noise above ,below & beside you? With camping you don't have those worries. I rellay enjoy my tin can condo & I can travel anywhere , ther are no hotels on Kerr Lake & only 1 at Yellowstone. You need to try camping before you judge it too badly.
Sorry to offend, i'm just not an outdoorsy person. I prefer historical trips out of the country and frankly if i'm on vacation I want to be waited on, not have to hookup sewage lines, worry about having electricity and so forth.
I like hotels and renting homes when we travel abroad as well but honestly we have been thinking about getting an RV to travel our own country in a few years. See the whole USA, sleep in our own bed, cook our own meals if we want and go as we please. As long as I have my husband our comfortable bed and a hair dryer I am happy. There are some very nice RV's nowadays.
I agree to an extent, there are some nice RV's but still you have to deal with the hassle, drive the thing, plus they cost upwards of $500,000 for a nice one. I'd much rather spend that money being pampered and not having to do anything. But to each his own :)
Camping with my family in one of these tin cans is wonderful. We been camping for 12 years and have life long memories of nothing but great times. Our kids always want to know WHEN ARE WE GOING CAMPING AGAIN. We wouldnt trade it for any thing. Maybe you should try it before you judge it.
