Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina to Launch 600-mile Walking Initiative

North Carolina, get ready to put on your walking shoes! On March 18, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) will announce a new statewide wellness initiative designed to encourage all North Carolinians to get fit one step at time.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a full 58 percent of North Carolinians do not get the recommended levels of physical activity. Through this new campaign, BCBSNC will help individuals find fun and practical ways to incorporate physical activity into their daily routines.

The Million Step Challenge is no small feat. Bike, row, walk, or run your way to a healthier you. To participate, log in the steps you have taken to be more active and you will be eligible for weekly drawings. Click here to sign up!
