Official: Charlotte to host 2017 PGA Championship

A state government official with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press on Monday that the PGA will announce Tuesday at Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlotte that the course will be the site for one of golf's four majors that year.

UNCW releases men's basketball schedule

Buzz Peterson and the UNCW Seahawks will open the 2010-2011 men's basketball season against the Florida Gators in Gainesville, Florida on November 12th. UNCW will face Liberty at home just four days later. Full story...
Moss leaves UNCW

More than seven months after losing his basketball coaching job, Benny Moss is leaving UNCW. Moss was relieved of his duties as men's coach in January and reassigned within the athletic department.

Meadowlark Lemon brings team to his hometown

Next week the "Clown Prince of Basketball" will come home to the Port City. Meadowlark Lemon's Harlem All-Star squad will play two games at the Schwartz Center in Downtown Wilmington.
