Sharks resume suspended baseball game Tuesday in Wilmington; fans get in free

In order to make the playoffs the Wilmington Sharks need to beat Outer Banks on Tuesday at Buck Hardee Field in Wilmington. The game will resume tied at 2 in the 6th inning. If Wilmington wins on Tuesday they'll earn a spot in the Coastal Plain League playoffs. If Wilmington loses the Sharks season will be over. Game time on Tuesday is at 5:30.

The Wilmington-Outer Banks game is a suspended game that originally started July 17, but was halted due to rain. If Outer Banks wins, then Asheboro goes to the playoffs.

Admission to this evening's game is free to the public. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

If the Sharks win, they travel to Forest City Wednesday for Game One of the first round playoff series. Game Two would be back at Buck Hardee Field in Wilmington on Thursday.
