Comeback for Michael Jordan?

On Thursday we led off our 11pm sportscast with video from Charlotte showing Michael Jordan practicing with the NBA Charlotte Bobcats. The Wilmington native wasn't hard to spot. MJ wore a bright orange tank top. Clearly he was the center of attention despite the fact some of the Bobcats are half his age.

UNCW AD Jimmy Bass restructures Seahawk Club fundraising efforts

Jimmy Bass was named director of athletics at UNC Wilmington four months ago. We all knew some changes would be made. On Thursday UNCW announced changes to the fundraising arm of Seahawk athletics. The major change involves the naming of a new executive director for the Seahawk Club.

Blue Devils gain lead in second half for comeback victory over Tar Heels

They'll meet at least twice this season. In a meeting of nationally ranked ACC teams Duke beat North Carolina 79-73 on Wednesday night in Durham. Duke took the lead midway through the second half and the Heels never got it back.

Oops... Seahawk women slide out of first place after losing to Georgia State

The UNC Wilmington women's basketball team had the look of a team capable of staying in first place in the CAA. On Sunday the Seahawks took a step backwards though with a loss to one of the middle tier teams in the league.
