Game of the Week, 9/7: Conway at New Hanover

THE FANS WERE EXTRA LOUD TONIGHT SINCE THEY KNEW THEY WERE THE GAME OF THE WEEK FOR NEWS CHANNEL 3. NOW LETS GET INTO IT, QB DAKOTA DERRICK FOR CONWAY, HAD A HARD TIME GETTING THE BALL IN THE AIR THE FIRST HALF, #43 JAMAAR JOHNSON FOR THE NEW HANOVER WILDCATS HAS A NICE SACK IN THE BACKFIELD HERE. NOW ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE FOR NEW HANOVER, QB COLTON BENFORD HAS A LOT OF PRESSURE AND WHEN HE TRIES TO GET THE BALL AWAY, #54 COLBY HOLMES INTERCEPTS IT AND RUNS IT BACK TO SET UP A FIELD GOAL FOR THE TIGERS, MAKING THE SCORE 6-3. BUT THE FANS NEVER ABANDONED THEIR TEAM AND CHEERED THEM ON DURING THE HALF. THEN IN THE SECOND HALF THE WILDCATS HAD MORE PROBLEMS RUNNING THE BALL AGAINST THE TIGER DEFENSE, THIS DRIVE WOULD LEAD TO A PUNT. WITH GOOD COVERAGE FROM HIS OFFENSIVE LINE, DAKOTA DERRICK WAS ABLE TO CONNECT TO JASON LIVINGSTON ON A 15 YARD PASS WHICH WOULD LEAD TO ANOTHER FIELD GOAL. 10-6 CONWAY. THE CONWAY LINEBACKERS KEPT THE WILDCAT RUNNING GAME IN THE BACKFIELD ON THIS PLAY FOR A LOSS OF A FEW YARDS. NOW HERE IS SOME FANCY FOOTWORK FROM RUNNINGBACK CAMERON CLINTON AS HE PUSHES HIS TEAM TO A FIRST DOWN. FINALLY THE WILDCATS TOOK THE BALL TO THE AIR AS QB COLTON BENFORD CONNECTS TO NUMBER 5 JAMAAR BARNETT FOR A 40 YARD TOUCHDOWN. BUT CONWAY WAS ABLE TO HOOK UP WITH THEIR RECIEVERS TO, HERES DAKOTA DERRICK HITTING JASON LIVINGSTON FOR THE LAST TOUCHDOWN OF THE GAME, WITH THE FINAL SCORE CONWAY 27, NEW HANOVER 17.
