State tax refunds should arrive by mid-May

North Carolina tax officials say the state is catching up on income tax refunds after a delay earlier this year caused by slow cash flow. The Revenue Department said tax return filers who meet the April 15 deadline should have their refunds by mid-May.

A spokeswoman said the state had a similar problem last year and was able to get refunds out by May 13 to people who filed on time. Refunds delayed beyond May 31 start accruing five-percent interest.

Whats going to end up happening is more and more people are going to take less and less money out for taxes and the State will end up in some serious problems. I'm waiting for MY money to be returned. What will the State do if I don't give them that money in the first place???

Does Purdue really understand the woes of the tax payers waiting for over payment funds to return to their pockets?
I really don't think so. She has other monies to take away from to cover this expense...tax paying citizens have Nothing to turn to (or choice) when time comes to pay out to the state (weekly/monthly) from their pay checks.
Purdue...take the tax monies that people are paying in to the state whom didn't pay in enough, and next year we'll be reading the same ole head lines in the news about NC being late returning over paid taxes.
Bet your life on it!

If we owed that sorry governor(ment) of ours some tax money, we would have to find a way to pay or else lose our property. Too bad it doesn't work that way for them. We have the worst government in the world. LIBERAL IDIOTS
