Summer safety camp

One summer camp wants their kids to know, you can never be too young to practice safety first. Kindergarten aged children at New Hanover County Pre-K Center will be learning all aspects of safety. It's a free, weeklong camp covering topics like bike safety, fire safety and even caring for a pet. "You can't start to young and in this day and age you can never be to safe. Alcohol is starting as early as elementary school so we want to get the information out there,” said teacher Tina Damico Poole. Teachers hope children will walk away a little more prepared even at the age of five.
