People looking to adopt a dog were able to meet and greet with the pups Saturday before deciding to bring a new pet home. The Sunburst Foundation, a non-profit canine rescue group, showed off three dogs outside the Blue Hand Home Store on Military Cutoff Road. There were also raffles and prize drawings to raise money for the new programs. ”We did send some labs to Indiana this week, and I’m also trying to get with a group that goes from South Carolina up to the Northeast. I've been emailing them and they take dogs, cats and puppies,” said Linda Ferrell of the Sunburst Foundation. If you would like to adopt a dog or donate to the Sunburst Foundation, please call 622-0011, and if you'd like to check out more animals up for adoption in our area, tune into Pet Pals every Tuesday on Good Morning Carolina here on WWAY NewsChannel 3.
