Art lovers filled the Coastline Convention Center Sunday, in hopes of finding their next treasure. Paintings of all kinds were on display for the annual Starving Artists exhibit. Customers from the area browsed imported oil paintings from all over the world. The price was also right; all paintings were less than $59. "We need a very, very large picture over our mantle so we are hopeful we can find something really big without a frame and without a mat," said art lover, Dan Cameron. Hundreds of paintings and frames were available for anyone looking to spruce up their house.

Schlock art

Dear WWAY: Do you know what schlock art is? Its mass produced in China and Korea and sold at "starving artist" sales cheap. Youve all been had. Nice pictures, maybe, but certainly not art.
