The list is getting longer of suspected cases of the H1N1 virus in New Hanover County. A student at New Hanover High School is the latest person believed to have the virus. The student was not in school today and the case has not yet been confirmed to be H1N1. To date, there have been three confirmed cases of H1N1 at Gregory Elementary School, one at Snipes Academy, one at Sunset Park Elementary, and one confirmed case in a pre-school aged child. The health department will not release the name of the pre-school or the age of the child. New Hanover High School added one to the suspected case list today. Roland-Grise Middle School is also awaiting confirmation on a suspected case. Another suspected case at Holly Tree Elementary School has already come back negative. Parents have been notified of all these cases. The advice remains the same: practice good hygiene, wash your hands, and keep your kids home if they're sick.
